What is “Fast Track”?

The Fast Track Program is designed to integrate the expertise of the orthopedic surgeon with the knowledge and experience of our Rehabilitation Nursing/Therapy team. This team approach offers a seamless transition directly from the hospital or surgical center to your home to out-patient rehabilitation providing you with a fast track to recovery.

Why is “Fast Track” different?

The goal of joint replacement surgery is to restore maximum strength and function leading to a return prior levels of activity. Fast Track maximizes the success of your surgery by enabling you to return directly to the safety of your home with the physical supports you will need to achieve that success. Your nurse will provide you with the pain management, medication education and care coordination to insure a speedy post-surgery recovery. Your therapist will focus on the progressive strengthening and mobility to help you achieve realistic goals to give you back the functional level you desire.
